A moderate to difficult hike as part of Catskills Lark in the Park (www.catskillslark.org) will take us to the top of Mt Tremper where we can climb its fire tower for some beautiful 360 degree views. Perfect for viewing fall foliage.

Join Catskill Center staff member Olivia Bernard on Sunday, October 3rd for a fun, challenging hike to the top of Mount Tremper. This out and back hike is roughly 3 miles one way / 6 miles roundtrip, ascending about 1967′ from the trailhead on Route 40 / Plank Road. We’ll stop for a lunch break at the summit.

Driving Directions: Trailhead is located between Mount Tremper and Phoenicia on Plank Rd. Plank Road intersects Rte. 212 in the hamlet of Mount Tremper. Turn north and continue to the trailhead on the right. From the main Street in Phoenica go south to the trailhead on the left.
